1200 Calories is Not the Answer…This is!

Most people are way too aggressive with their diets and it’s a big reason why most people struggle.⁣

The first assumption is that 1200 calories is the all mighty number to lose weight.

When in reality it can be the reason you aren’t seeing any changes.

Your hormones, organs, and nearly every system is trying to stay in homeostasis so when a forceful distruption happens - it triggers alerts and it’s only a matter of time before everything comes crashing down to a reset.⁣

When people randomly pick some arbitrary number like 1200 calories they automatically set themselves us for problems because there's no context to where they currently are.

Instead of the perpetual cycle of doing that to your body, I recommend you do some digging to get a better predictor of where you currently are and go from there (because where you are is also always changing). ⁣

The best approach to your nutrition is one that requires patience, consistency, and small adjustments over time; finding the simple yet highly effective changes that make the most impact.

The first key to getting a gauge on where you are is finding your maintenance calories.

You can use a calculator on tdeecalculator.net which will include inputs for your body fat, activity, and current weight.

Once you get your maintenance calories you can multiple that number by 85% and START there!

Let this be a starting point...not an end point or even the right point.

Do it for at least 2 weeks then gauge on adjusting by another 10% if needed.
